Laminated glass is a type of safety glass that holds together when shattered. In the event of breaking, it is held in place by an interlayer, typically of polyvinyl butyral (PVB) or ethylene-vinyl acetate (EVA), between its two or more layers of glass.The interlayer keeps the layers of glass bonded even when broken, and its high strength prevents the glass from breaking up into large sharp pieces.
Toughened glass or Tempered glass is produced
from a heat treatment called glass tempering,
where annealed float glass is heated near to its
softening point and cooled quickly. Tempered
glass is well known for it’s safety feature that
makes it less likely to break unlike annealed glass,
which can shatter into jagged shards when
broken, tempered glass fractures into small,
relatively harmless pieces.
This glass is available in the range of 4 mm to
12 mm thickness. Tinted glass are basic glass
with colorants added that gives colour as
well as light and heat-reducing capabilities.
